About COPAZ

Community Organisation for Poverty Alleviation in Zimbabwe (COPAZ) is a Private Voluntary Organisation currently operating in Chipinge district, Manicaland Province in Zimbabwe.

Established in 2012 to empower marginalised and vulnerable children, youths and women.

Governance structure of the organisation

The Organisation is governed by an eight member Board who have the responsibility to strategically align the Organisation’s work to the needs of the community it serves. The Board meets quarterly. The Board has strategic oversight on the Organisation. The Board works through subcommittees tasked to improve efficiency in the different strategic areas. The Director heads the secretariat and reports to the Board. He is the Ex Officio member of the Board with voting powers

Geographical Coverage

  • COPAZ is currently operating in Chipinge district  (Ward 5, 17 and 18) in Manicaland Province in Zimbabwe but will spread its operations to other areas subject to identification of need, availability of funds and consent of the local Authorities
